\"\"<\/span>Antica sede podestarile, il palazzo municipale \u00e8 l\u2019unico edificio posto sulla piazza cui si accede con una scalinata, che pone l\u2019ingresso in posizione sopraelevata rispetto a\u00a0 tutti gli altri edifici circostanti; esso viene cos\u00ec a trovarsi fulcro della geometria della piazza stessa in opposizione a Palazzo Amorotti, in un rapporto tipicamente medievale di antitesi tra struttura pubblica (sede del potere feudale) e struttura privata (sede della famiglia pi\u00f9 potente del feudo). Seppur di origine medievale, l\u2019edificio \u00e8 giunto a noi nell\u2019aspetto settecentesco. Nasce dall\u2019aggregazione di almeno tre strutture: il corpo centrale ha inglobato alla sua sinistra una struttura a torre scapitozzata al momento del ridisegno generale e dell\u2019accorpamento, e alla sua destra, in epoca pi\u00f9 recente, ha subito un ampliamento testimoniato dalle murature addossate. La torre e il corpo centrale potrebbero individuare una casa con torre cinquecentesca, che rappresenta la tipologia tipica delle sedi podestarili nella realt\u00e0 feudale della montagna reggiana.<\/p>\n

The town hall is the only building in the square to be accessed through a staircase, so that\u00a0its entrance\u00a0is higher than all the other doors .<\/em><\/div>\n
The palace is the main element in the geometry of the square, opposite to palazzo Amorotti. This antithetic relationship between public building (site of feudal power) and private palace (home of the most powerful family in the whole feud) is typical of Italian middle age.<\/em><\/div>\n
Even if it has a medieval origin today we see the building the way it looked in XVII century.<\/em><\/div>\n
In its history this building went through the embodiement of at least three different buildings: the main building\u00a0has included on its left side a tower shaped structure and the walls show that the palace has been more recently enlarged on its right side.<\/em><\/div>\n
Main building and tower might even be a \u201ccasa a torre\u201d, house with tower that in XVI century was the typical shape of the first palaces in the mountains of Reggio Emilia.<\/em><\/div>\n
